How to Transfer PF Online - Procedure to Transfer Provident Fund:
Employees need to Apply for Transfer PF Online when they change their job. Nowadays, it is very common to move from one company to another company for employees. The procedure for Transfer of Provident Fund is made easy and online by EPFO. So the employees can submit Online Form for PF Transfer through UAN Member e-Sewa Portal.

In earlier time, Employee had to go through physical form submission for PF Transfer. Later, Employees' Provident Fund Organization create Online Transfer Claim Portal (OTCP) which made things easier for employees. In OTCP portal, employees were able to submit Online PF Transfer Claim with help of one Document ID proof and Registered Mobile Number.
Recently, EPFO Authority has closed the old portal and now Online PF Transfer Claim is available on UAN Member e-Sewa Portal. Yes, the employees who have Activated UAN, only those can apply online for PF Transfer via official portal. In order to Transfer PF Online, the employee must meet some basic requirements which are as follows:
  • UAN Activated: First of all, the Universal Account Number (UAN) must be activated. There is no alternate of UAN is available for Online PF Transfer.
  • Both Member ID: Employee's previous Member ID and present Member ID must be available in database of EPFO. Here, Member ID stands for PF Account Number. In case, one of the Member ID is not available in EPFO database, the employee is NOT eligible to apply online for PF Transfer.
  • Employer Digital Signature: The Employer must have registered the Digital Signature Certificate of his authorized signatories with EPFO. If the employer has not submit ECR Return online the Digital Signature may not be available in EPFO Database.

Step by Step Procedure to fill up Form 13 for Online PF Transfer:

  1. Log on to official website at www.epfindia.gov.in.
  2. Find out Our Services section and select For Employees tab to open relevant page.
  3. Navigate to SERVICES heading and click on Member UAN /Online Service (OCS /OTCP).
  4. As you click on the above link, you will reach at unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
  5. Enter your UAN Number (12 digit, numeric) and Password in Member Login Section on upper right corner of page.
  6. Click on Sign In button to login to your UAN Account.
  7. Select Online Claim i.e. OCS /OTCP link to begin.
  8. Select Form 13 and fill it up with necessary details.
  9. Here you may be given option of Previous Employer or Present Employer i.e. with whom you wish to submit Online PF Transfer Claim Form. Choose the employer as you like.
  10. Provide your personal details as asked in Online Claim Form.
  11. Check and verify all your details like Member IDs, Name, DOB etc. shown in EPFO database.
  12. If all the above details are correct then click on Get Pin button.
  13. Within one minute, you will receive Authorization Pin on your Registered Mobile Number.
  14. Enter the Authorization Pin the box given on page.
  15. Finally click on Submit button to complete Claim Form of Online PF Transfer.
